Ezra Adhitya
The Storyteller
Ezra Adhitya is an Indonesian communication designer, graduated with a BA (Hons) Design Communication from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2012, specializing in Advertising Communication. He prefers to call himself a storyteller because he believes that design is all about telling stories; through images, words, sounds, even colours and shapes. Ezra loves to build brands and corporate identities, taking them as the summaries of the stories that the brands want to tell their potential customers. While not designing, Ezra is a Christian singer and songwriter, passionately leading worship in his Christian youth ministry in Jakarta. A spiritual, fun, and relaxed individual, Ezra indulges in simple things like writing short fictions, freshly brewed coffee, and collecting unique football jerseys from around the world.
WaterDecor is a water feature specialist company, responsible for designing and building some famous water features around Indonesia such as the Bundaran HI fountain, MONAS musical fountain, and Central Park Mall's water feature. As a Concept Designer, my job is to design the initial concept of every water feature, based on the customer's vision and needs. I then work with the principal architect and engineering team to translate my concept into constructible technical drawings, before overseeing the construction stage of the water features to make sure that the final product is consistent to the initial design concept.

Some of the water features that I've designed for WaterDecor are: BCA KCU Alam Sutra roundabout fountain, Bintaro Jaya Exchange water features, Okavango Water Park's Dry Fountain, and J.W. Marriott Nusa Dua Bali's water features, among several others.

Staying true to my passion in design in general, and fueled by my desire to help create a better batch of future artists and designers, I decided to start my own visual arts and portfolio preparation course, called The Storytellers Workshop.

Here, together with a group of fellow designers, we help future art students to develop and strengthen their core design skills, such as eyes for details, sensitivity towards shapes, colour psychology, etc as they prepare their portfolio to enter art/design university. I want to share my experience and knowledge gained from four years as a design student in LASALLE with my juniors to help prepare them for the undeniably exciting–yet exceptionally challenging–world of arts and design.
This is where the fun begins... This is my passion, and with you as a client, I believe we can work together to create many stories. I'm currently Jakarta based, but I always consider Singapore as my second home, and I'm excited to travel the world (with the client's expense, of course) to help you tell your stories to your potential customers.
